trbs	b537aff586	Fix for #3062 additional groups should only be added once. Also consolidated duplicate groups code into one get_groups_set() method. Removed unused call to user_group_membership. Removed sorting operations on set functions cause sets are inherently unordered. Minor style improvements to match the rest of the code. The new function will make the order of group names passed to the system command less determistic. Which was already the case for modify_user_usermod() but not for other methods. It will also strip out duplicate group names automatically which was not always the case previously.	12 years ago
Lorin Hochstein	8c9cceacbf	authorized_key: Set manage_dir default value This commit fixes a bug where the authorized_key module causes the ~user/.ssh directory to be owned by root instead of the user, when the manage_dir argument is not specified. If the manage_dir argument was not specified, the module behaved as if manage_dir was set to false, even though it's supposed to default to true. This module assumed that an optional argument, with no default specified, will not be present in the module.params dictionary. What actually seems to happen is that the argument does appear in the module.params dictionary with a value of None. The upside is that this line was evaluating to None instead of true: manage_dir = params.get("manage_dir", True) I fixed the problem in this particular module by explicitly specifying the default value for the manage_dir arugment. But if this bug occurred because of a change in behavior in AnsibleModule, then other modules may be broken as well.	12 years ago

Yeukhon Wong	08a486fe31	Pip can now accept vcs or tarball as name. Prevented adding mirrors when name is vcs. Summary: There was a bug in the previous commit; pip module would add --use-mirrors options to a source package when state is absent. The bug is resolved in this commit by checking ``not is_package`` in the if branch. Furthermore, in order to support non-vcs source name like tarballs, we must not add -e option to the arg list. Given this circumstance, this commit have is_tar and is_vcs and the latter is checked to add -e option. Since mirrors do not make sense with vcs or tarball source, this commit will not add --use-mirrors (default to True) as always.	12 years ago

Summary: Pip module would abort when name is a remote package address because the module was expecting a version if ``=`` is part of the name value. Furthermore, the pip module would require either name or requirement to be a key, although the documentation table said neither was required. The fact that one of them must be present is not documented in the documentation leads to confusion. This commit added this fact as part of description. In this commit, we resolve the confusion by stating either ``name`` or ``requirement`` is needed. Next, if the user puts remote address as the value of the ``name`` key, we will not use mirror. Lastly, if the user uses the remote serivice address as the name of the package and the user does not supply -e option in extra_vars (which is the whole point of this commit), we will add -e to extra_vars so pip command can run with -e option.	12 years ago

It checks if it is a remote branch or tag and then checks for the remote object id associated with it. If it is sha1, get_remote_head() returns it as-is since there doesn't appear to be a way to check a remote repository for a specific object/sha1. is_remote_tag() is added to help out the new functionalit in get_remote_head(). In main(), if check_mode is true and version is a sha1, the module now checks to see if the object is present.	12 years ago

This will exit with changed=True at the following places: * If the repo has not been cloned * If the destination has local modifications, this will exit with changed=True. This is because reset() will exit anyways if there are local mods and force is False. * If the remote HEAD commit id is not the same as that of the local HEAD. This is determined by get_remote_head() that runs 'git ls-remote' to determine remote HEAD. Lastly, if this is run with check_mode enabled, this will exit with changed=False before fetch() is invoked so that no local mods are made.	12 years ago

Grant Gavares	cd51c7f234	Add socket timeout to uri module. The uri module can be configured to abort after a specified timeout if it cannot connect to the configured uri. This prevents a uri action from hanging indefinitely when the remote endpoint cannot be reached because it is unavailable, there is a firewall in place etc. The default behavior is left unchanged: timeout=None This change also introduces a new type for module_parameters: int Code was added to perform conversion from string -> int type in module_common.py. The new type was required in order to play nice with httplib2 which refuses to accept (and convert) anything other than a numeric type for the timeout value.	12 years ago

Michael DeHaan	624a952c5c	The service module made some assumptions about how a service should be managed based on what was installed on the system in terms of service management tools, which meant upstart services on CentOS6 were not startable. This tweak allows things like vmware-tools to be controlled via the service module. More testing on other distributions (particularly with systemd) is presumably needed.	12 years ago

Decorated existing example to demonstate usage of file options and added a couple more examples Message is not set accordingly when file attributes were changed 'absent' handling code now handles the case where the file doesn't exists (was issuing a Traceback before) File attribute handling code has been added to the 'absent' handling function too. File attributes handling has been grouped in 'def check_file' since it's required in both places.
